Pens reach Calder Cup final against Chicago
Post by:Marketing
The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins will take on the Chicago Wolves in the 2008 Calder Cup Finals

Chicago advanced to the Calder Cup Finals following playoff victories against the Milwaukee Admirals (six games), the Rockford Ice Hogs (seven games) and the Toronto Marlies (five games).  The Wolves captured the Calder Cup in 2002 and were runners-up in 2005.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton downed the Hershey Bears (five games), Philadelphia Phantoms (five games) and Pirates (seven games) en route to their third appearance in the Calder Cup Finals (2001, 2004).

The Wolves, who finished second overall in the AHL during the regular season with 111 points, hold home ice advantage in the best-of-seven series.  Chicago will host Games One and Two, as well as Games Six and Seven if necessary.  Wilkes-Barre/Scranton will host Games Three (Wed., June 4), Four (Fri., June 6) and, if necessary, Game Five (Sat., June 7).

Tickets go on sale Friday, May 30 at 10:00 a.m.
